South Pacific, Inc. (SPI) owns and operate the Biggest LPG Storage in the Philippines and a 100% Filipino-owned company whose stakeholders have been in the LPG business for more than a decade, the TY Family of Isabela, and Calaca Industrial Seaport Corp. (formerly known as Phoenix Petroterminals and Industrial Park Corp.) which owns and developed the industrial park where the Terminal is located.

 

The TY Family started in 1998 as a new entrant in the LPG industry and targeting Region 2, or popularly known as the Cagayan Valley, as its main market. As business progresses, it has establish a network that spans around 85% of the region and has established the most outlets in the area. Providing quality LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and service, across the Island of Luzon with rapid growth, the company expand its operations and built more refilling plants in the National Capital Region (Metro Manila), Region 1, Region 3 and Region 4A. This year 2018, they have expanded operations in the Visayas, starting in Cebu Province.

Calaca Industrial Seaport Corp. (CISC) is the developer of the multi-hectare Industrial Park located at Calaca, Batangas. An ideal and strategic location due to the deep portions of Balayan bay and its own port capable of handling Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) with up to 14 meters draft or up to 55,000 DWT.  CISC is owned by Udenna Group.

Cebu Terminal

With almost four (4) years of operation, SPI is the fastest growing LPG Company in the Philippines with a current market share of more than 14.07% (as of June 2018) and is expected to reach 16% by the end of 2018.

Geared towards expanding in the Visayas and Mindanao region, SPI is finished constructing its terminal in the Island of Cebu with 2 x 1,000MT storage capacity and commercially in operation by January 2019.

Located inside Arctura Petroterminal in Mandaue City, SPI Cebu Terminal operations will be similar to that of Calaca, selling product to bulk customers. The terminal also have a Cylinder Refilling Platform that will cater to customers with their own LPG cylinder brands.

SPI Cebu Terminal will be serving not only the Island of Cebu, but as well as neighboring islands such as Negros, Bohol, Samar and Leyte.

The Terminal is the start of SPI’s expansion in the Southern Islands of the Philippines. Our goal is to construct five (5) more Terminals with same capacity of 2,000MT and having its supply coming our Calaca (Luzon) Main Terminal.

To serve the smaller islands of Visayas, SPI has recently acquired an LCT and ISO Tanks. Enabling the company to serve MIMAROPA of products coming from Calaca and Cebu Terminals.
