Volunteers worked hand-in-hand as they took part in the recent CaLingAplaya (Calaqueñong Mapagkalinga sa Aplaya) 2019 – a coastal cleanup drive for the rehabilitation of the coastal areas in the Municipality of Calaca.

Alongside companies in the said municipality, select employees of South Pacific Inc. were also present in its pledge to a cleaner and safer environment.

The volunteers began cleaning the shorelines as early as eight o’clock in the morning, gathering a mixture of biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials.

This initiative is directed to make the public aware of the importance of keeping the bodies of waters clean and free from litter.

The activity is held in commemoration of the 153rd anniversary of Gen. Eleuterio G. Marasigan.
